Development Consultancy in Enfield EN1
The client
The owners of a vacant care home applied for planning consent to convert the property into eight self-contained flats.
The issue
The client wanted to reduce the level of financial contribution payable under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. Enfield Council wanted a financial contribution of nearly £250,000 from the client.
Our approach
Newman Webb undertook a Viability Assessment of the proposed development scheme and negotiated a new settlement on behalf of the client.
The result for our client
After lengthy negotiations, we reached an agreement of £105,000 for the total financial contribution towards Section 106 payments, allowing the development scheme to go ahead.
